TREASURERS REPORT

Suzanne Templin’s report submitted via email

  1. A $97.10 donation was removed from the FITA budget due to a Pay Pal error, but the donor made another $100 donation to make up for it.
  2. Pam Hausle ordered more business cards because she is “giving them out like crazy”

Shawn Goos made the motion to accept the report and, Joe Diluzio seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously.

MEMBERSHIP OCCIFER’S REPORT:

Amy reports 79 people were at the last phlocking. Amy submitted membership report. Amy sent out a slew of new member emails.  There is still an issue with MailChimp emails not being received by AOL users. Shawn Goos (communications occifer) said he would email AOL users to see if we can get a non-AOL email address.  Amy scolded her father, Terry Clark, for not paying attention to her (which seems to be a common occurrence).  Amy has updated the new member letter to make it more relevant.  A motion to accept the report was made by Jim “JT” Thomas and it was seconded by Shawn Goos and the motion was approved unanimously.

KEEPER OF THE PHLOCK REPORT:

Jeanette Freeman announced the next PHlocking location would be Friendly Confines and Charlie DeCosa will be playing. Pam and Rich Hausle offered to run the raffle table with the chartity TBA. Cindy Cunningham will collect Lucky Stars on behalf of the Opportunity, Community, Ability, Inc.’s summer camp program. It was decided the “theme” of the June phlocking would be national flip flop month. A motion was made by Jim “JT” Thomas to accept the report it was seconded by Amy Buchannan. Motion was passed unanimously.

COMMUNICATIONS OCCIFER’S REPORT:

Shawn Goos no report

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

Not in attendance

EXECUTIVE OCCIFER’S REPORT:

Norbert Camacho actually graced us with his presence!!

Noted that the phlockings have been quite fun recently

A motion was made by Jeanette Freeman to accept the report it was seconded by Shawn Goos. Motion was passed unanimously.

MEMBER ADVOCATE’S REPORT:

Joe Diluzio would like it to be noted that council members need to schedule their trips around the council meetings.

Amy Buchannan bragged about her attendance at both council meetings AND phlockings.  Suggests she should receive an award for this!

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

Pam Hausle has two banners that she will display outside for the phlockings.

A motion was made by Shawn Goos to accept the report it was seconded by Jeanette Freeman. Motion was passed unanimously.

OLD BIDNESS:

Some members visited Sloppy Taco Palace (at suggested phlocking location), but this does not appear to be conducive to our needs and is outside the “radius”.

Lou and Pat Perkins have gained access to the “old” club photo album.  Mary McCormick has opened a Shutterfly account to post “new” photos.

Pam suggested that someone should create a year in review slideshow to be shown at January’s phlocking (Jackie Dorsey was volunteered).

NEW BIDNESS:

Lisa and George Schott will not be able to DJ the November phlocking.  Jeanette Freeman has scheduled Bill Cockrell of High Tide band to perform.

This year’s regional meeting will be held on the Treasure Coast from Aug. 15-16.  Pam will be sending more information as it is received.

GENERAL DISCUSSION:

Council is excited about that the turnout for the phlockings has been so high so far this year.

Amy Buchannan asked if Friendly Confines would give a $5 gift card for the attendance drawing.  Pam Hausle will ask about this.

Jim “JT” Thomas inquired about the possibility of a member “services” directory on the club website for members to promote their personal business.  Perhaps motivated by his desire to shamelessly promote his own personal business, Tropical Soul?  Pam Hausle asked him to put together a proposal for the next meeting.  “JT” agreed to this.  In the meantime, Shawn Goos will check with Mary Libbey (former communications occifer) about how this used to work and Pam Hausle will check with the club attorney about the legalities/liabilities of us doing so.

Shawn Goos will take home extra copies of occifer reports home to be recycled because he is such a great environmentalist

A motion to adjourn made by Shawn Goos and it was seconded by Jim “JT” Thomas. The motion was approved unanimously.

Meeting adjourned at 8:22
