Council of Pheathers Meeting

IN ATTENDANCE:
President Lisa Schott, Vice President Scott Lance, Secretary Laurie Ramsteck, Membership Occifer Mary Libbey, Treasurer Colene Clark, Member Advocates Jackie Dorsey and Paul Fraas, Jeff Dubey, Jim Thomas, Lou Perkins, Pat Perkins, Josh Ramsteck

CALL TO ORDER:
Lisa Schott called the meeting to order at 7:00pm

SECRETARY’S REPORT:
Laurie Ramsteck reported that June’s minutes were sent out for review and posted to the website. Bank statements were reviewed and approved. Scott Lance made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Jeff Dubey and the motion was passed unanimously.

TREASURER’S REPORT:
Colene Clark will e-mail the report to the Council. A motion was made by Jim Thomas to approve the report pending receipt of Colene’s e-mailed report and it was seconded by Laurie Ramsteck and the motion was passed unanimously.

MEMBERSHIP OCCIFER’S REPORT:
Mary Libbey reported that we now have 386 members and 204 memberships. Laurie Ramsteck made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Scott Lance and the motion was passed unanimously.

KEEPER OF THE PHLOCK REPORT:
No report this month.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
Scott Lance reported that we need to add 16 community service hours to our total hours. Mary Libbey made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Colene Clark and the motion was passed unanimously.

EXECUTIVE OFFICER’S REPORT:
No report this month

MEMBER ADVOCATE’S REPORT:
Jackie Dorsey and Paul Fraas had no member issues or concerns since our last report.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
Lisa Schott reported that our Semi Annual report was submitted to PHIP. Lisa asked if anyone was attending the Regional Leadership meeting in August. Edi Meadow no longer is attending. Laurie Ramsteck will be there Friday night only for the Meet and Greet. Lisa also mentioned that our Club registrations for MOTM are low. She encouraged everyone to register. Colene Clark made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Scott Lance and the motion passed unanimously.

OLD BIDNESS:

MUD VOLLEYBALL UPDATE:
Jeff Dubey updated the Council on the upcoming event on August 21st. Our Club has 3 teams registered. Teams need to pay entry fee to PHCF ASAP.

BEACH BASH UPDATE:
Lisa Scott reported that the weekend was a great time. Our teams placed 1st, 3rd, 4th and 7th. Great job everyone!!! The winnings will be given to The Russell Home.

GIVE KIDS THE WORLD PARROT HEAD PARTY UPDATE:
Colene Clark reported that our first pool party for GKTW will be August 8th. Colene will send information out to the club soon.

NEW BIDNESS:

AUGUST PHLOCKING:
Suzanne and Gregg Templin will run the raffle table and proceeds will go to Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge. Lucky Stars will be back to school supplies. September Phlocking will go to Relay for Life and handled by Lou and Pat Perkins.
GULF OIL RELIEF:
Council discussed ways to help with the relief efforts. Council agreed that the November Reunion Phlocking proceeds will go to the Gulf Coast Oil relief efforts.

KEEPER OF THE PHLOCK:
Council discussed replacing Edi Meadows who is experiencing medical issues at this time. We have a couple of people who may be interested in sharing the duties. Council will contact these individuals and decide at the next Council meeting.

Colene Clark made a motion for the meeting to adjourn and it was seconded by Scott Lance and the meeting was adjourned at 8:26pm.
