OCCIFERS REPORTS:

SECRETARY’S REPORT:

The minutes from last month’s meeting was submitted. Bank accounts reviewed. A motion to accept the report was made by Amy Buchanan and it was seconded by Suzanne Templin. The motion was approved unanimously.

TREASURERS REPORT

Suzanne Templin gave report for the last month. She plans to write a BIG check for the Arthritis Foundation this week.  A motion to accept the report was made byJackie Dorseyand it was seconded by Jeanette Freeman and the motion was approved unanimously.

MEMBERSHIP OCCIFER’S REPORT:

Amy Buchanan gave last month’s report.  There were around 61 people at the last phlocking. Amy reports that she has updated the complementary and honorary membership list. As of February the club has 295 members. A motion to accept the report was made by Bruce Broulik and it was seconded by Marti Melton and the motion was approved unanimously.

KEEPER OF THE PHLOCK REPORT:

Jeanette Freeman reports she will not be at the next phlocking and Shawn, Collette and Cahleigh Goos will run the raffle and 50/50. Proceeds from both will be going to the club. The Lucky stars will benefit the South Lake Animal League. Musician for March be will be our own Captain Josh. A motion to accept the report was made by Suzanne Templin and seconded by Amy Buchanan. The motion passed unanimously.

COMMUNICATIONS OCCIFER:

Our new communications Occifer Shawn Goos makes his first report. He met with Mary Libbey to discuss the duties. Shawn reports the Facebook page and website are now up to date. He is also learning to navigate Mailchimp®. A motion to accept the report was made by Bruce Broulik and it was seconded by Amy Buchanan and the motion was approved unanimously.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

Bruce Broulik reports the next pool party at Give Kids the World will be April 13 in the evening. He will be sending out information soon. A motion to accept the report was made byJackie Dorseyand seconded by Amy. The motion passed unanimously.

EXECUTIVE OCCIFER’S REPORT:

Not present

MEMBER ADVOCATE’S REPORT:

No member complaints or comments to report.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

Lisa reports that the annual report to PHIP is has submitted. Lisa made note that the picnic was well attended by those that got through before the gates closed at 11am. Lisa also mentioned we need to get more support for upcoming events. Adopt a Latitude is next Sunday. Adopt a Shore will be in April. A few ideas were discussed.  There was also a discussion about an event on the calendar for hot dog grilling.  A motion to accept the report was made by Jeanette Freeman and it was seconded by Amy Buchanan and the motion was approved unanimously

OLD BIDNESS:

FITA:

FITA netted $24,664 making the 5 year total over $111,000. A few break downs:

Strike challenge: $3,000

Raffle: $2,400

Silent Auction: $4,400

50/50: $1,300 (both pots were donated back)

JingleBellRun: $1,250

NEW BIDNESS:

A change to the bylaws was made for the contingency plan for when nobody runs for office. Amy made a motion to change the bylaws that were proposed by JT last month. It was seconded by Suzanne Templin. It passed unanimously. It will be sent forth to the general membership for a final vote.

Changing the day of March’s phlocking (due to members attending Music on the Bay) was discussed. It was agreed that it would remain that date because it was too late to notify McWells and Captain Josh.

A motion to adjourn was made by Amy Buchanan and it was seconded by Jeanette Freeman and the motion was approved unanimously.
