OFFICER REPORTS:

SECRETARY’S REPORT:

Minutes for last meeting submitted by email by Joan Williams. The sentence about security officers for the party zone was deleted from the March minutes.

Motion to accept report made by Terry Clark and seconded by John Williams. Motion passed unanimously.

TREASURER’S REPORT:

Treasury report submitted by Amy Buchanan.

Motion to accept report made by Kari Sheets, seconded by John Williams. Motion passed unanimously.

MEMBERSHIP OFFICER REPORT:

Jackie Dorsey submitted the Membership report. Jackie reported there were 78 members at the March Phlocking, while eight members were inducted. Lou Perkins was the $5 winner. Forms and website need to be changed to reflect the dues increase.

Motion to accept report made by Terry Clark and seconded by John Williams. Motion passed unanimously.

KEEPER OF THE PHLOCK REPORT:

Megan announced that the May Phlocking will be held Friday, May 5, 2017. The theme for the Phlocking will be Cinco de Mayo, the musician will be Highway One, the Lucky Stars benefactor will be the Beta Center and the raffle table is open. Megan will be sending an email tomorrow to ask for raffle table sponsors.

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER REPORT:

The Jacksonville club requested information about the party zone. Inquiries were referred to Jeff Dubey.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

Terry thanked those who put on the birthday celebration phlocking. Everyone enjoyed the celebration and Erika’s balloon drop. Terry reminded everyone that Back to Nature is this weekend.

EXECUTIVE OFFICER’S REPORT:

Amy Walker reported that she doesn’t know where the club’s items are. Shirts were given at the phlocking. Beer pour went well. Over 30 volunteers made for an awesome event.

MEMBER ADVOCATE REPORT:

Nothing to report.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Mary Libbey is working on the website. The list of musicians for upcoming phlockings was given to Amy Tatum to put on website.

OLD BUSINESS:

The party zone planning is going well. The next committee meeting will be held on Monday, April 24. Rich Stawick has reserved the generator.

NEW BUSINESS:

Rich Stawick and Dave McCauley reported on a family event they are planning at Wekiva Island. Possible dates are September 16 or August 26. There is a $250 pavilion rental fee. Pavilion is then ours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is a $2 per person admission fee. You are able to stay later than 5 in the park. No alcohol may be brought in. Alcohol is sold. There is a bar and a wine bar as well as fire pits, volleyball, swimming, and kayak and canoe rentals. Dogs are permitted. A $10 per person charge was discussed. Two cars only may go on the island. Those two cars would have to bring the food. The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation was discussed as our charity to party with a purpose. It was not decided how we would raise money for this charity.

A motion to adjourn was made by Amy Walker, seconded by Jackie Dorsey, and passed unanimously.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:51 pm.
