OFFICER REPORTS:

SECRETARY’S REPORT:

Minutes for last meeting submitted by email by Joan Williams.

Motion to accept report made by Jackie Dorsey and seconded by Kari Sheets. Motion passed unanimously.

TREASURER’S REPORT:

Treasury report submitted by Amy Buchanan.

Back to Nature went 2 1/2 hours and had 12 participants. Club will go back again and will become semi-annual.

Give Kids the World-June 4th.  Announcements were released.

Treasury Report will be coming due to a computer crash.

Tailgate brought in $4,813 for Russell Home. Tailgate was under budget at about $3,240.

MEMBERSHIP OFFICER REPORT:

Jackie Dorsey submitted the Membership report. Jackie reported there were 62 members at the May Phlocking, while 14 members were inducted.

Roger O’Rear was the $5 winner.

Attending the Phlocking, about 20 from Space Coast. Jimmy Pappas and a friend also attended.

Motion to accept report made by Megan Oberlin and seconded by Amy Buchanan. Motion passed unanimously.

KEEPER OF THE PHLOCK REPORT:

Megan announced that the June Phlocking will be held Friday, June 2, 2017. The theme for the Phlocking will be Beach, the musician will be Ted Villareal, The One Man Band, the Lucky Stars benefactor will be Cindy Cunningham for OCA Summer Camp and the raffle table sponsor is Jackie Dorsey and Jeanette Anderson for Leadership Conference.

May Phlocking newbies won baskets.  Last month’s raffle was for Give Kids the World (came up as a question from a council member).

Megan will email people directly for open tables or Lucky Stars.

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER REPORT:

Musicians are on calendar on website.

Website interface is still not updated and ready to go.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

About 14 people at May Beach Clean Up

Kayak Picnic will include Bill Cockrell for music. An email blast will go giving the time, date, Bill Cockrell, and kayak rental information.

Terry was thanked for the stage at the tailgate party.

EXECUTIVE OFFICER’S REPORT:

Who to send names for beer tags to: Megan

Many of the club items are at Terry Clark’s or George Schott’s.

Idea of using drop box to keep a list of items so other Council members can adjust list as items move. Jackie suggested asking Amy H about it.

MEMBER ADVOCATE REPORT:

Reported by Dave McVeigh-Rich is looking to putting a deposit down for a pavilion at Wekiva Island, and is looking for a date. This will be  followed up at the next meeting.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Tailgate committee rocked it out, as it was very organized and seamless. We were able to get new members. The tailgate raffle brought in $1,188.00 for Jim Thomas.

Margaritaville Kevin (British) joined the club.  He wants to partner with the club including having the club tour the place.

OLD BUSINESS

2017 Leadership Conference will be August 11 and 12th at the Hilton Garden Inn on I-Drive (lovely location.)  Friday night will be a pool party/social hour with Sunny Jim  playing. It will be buy your own food and drinks. All members in good standing can attend. There is a group rate of $114/night with breakfast for 2 included. Saturday there will be the leadership meeting from 10-3 (tentatively) with Margaritaville after (tentatively). Pam is in charge of getting other clubs there. PHCF is the host while Pam is the facilitator. Address is 5877 American Way 32819

NEW BUSINESS:

Bruce and Kari Sheets will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary with a Southern Caribbean cruise. They would like to invite club members to join. The cruise would take place after the Super Bowl most likely mid to late February.

A motion to adjourn was made by Amy Buchanan, seconded by Jeanette Anderson, and passed unanimously.
