IN ATTENDANCE:

CALL TO ORDER:
Lisa Schott called the meeting to order at 7:01pm.

OCCIFER’S REPORTS:

SECRETARY’S REPORT:
No report

TREASURER’S REPORT:
Extra money needed to be paid to Tampa Bay Parrotheads for postage a check was send for $ 22.00. Beginning Balance: $4,188.64, Income: $294, Expenses $198, Balance May 14, 2011: $ 4,284.59. Mary Libbey made a motion to accept the report, JT seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.

MEMBERSHIP OCCIFER’S REPORT:
Banjody’s complimentary membership discussed. One new member inducted. One current member finally inducted. JT made a motion to accept the report, Susanne Templin seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.

KEEPER OF THE PHLOCK REPORT:
Captain Nick will be performing at the phlocking this month. Raffle will go to Russell Home. Lucky stars will be PJs and story books for foster children. Jackie Dorsey made a motion to accept the report, Amy Buchanan seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.

COMMUNICATIONS OCCIFER’S REPORT:
Mary shared survey results. 44 people responded both in person and via the web. Most noted comment had to do with music/venue being too loud to socialize. Discussed giving summary of report to Phlock. Discussed improving levels of participation in beach and street clean up. Discussed self-promotion for club. Tammy to publish hours she has tracked. Tammy Esser made a motion to accept the report, Amy Buchanan seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
Bruce reported that the GKTW party was very well received by everybody concerned. He wanted to express his appreciation to the 31 volunteers who participated. Greg Templin won the balloon toss. Mary Libbey made a motion to accept the report, JT seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.

EXECUTIVE OCCIFER’S REPORT:
Jackie reports she needs to send email to track club items. We currently have 2 tents and many parts of tents. Bruce Broulik made a motion to accept the report, Amy Buchanan seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.

MEMBERSHIP ADVOCATE’S REPORT:
Norbert nothing to report. Paul said only mention to him was music too loud. Jackie Dorsey made a motion to accept report, Mary Libbey seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

Inducted 2 members last month. Discussed July 4th phlocking date. Decided to keep date regardless of possible low turnout. JT made a motion to accept the report, Bruce Broulik seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.

OLD BIDNESS:

CHRISTMAS PARTY:

Tammy reports that they inspected Warren’s VFW in on Edgewater which will be about $200 to rent. Waitstaff is volunteer only will need to tip. Venue is clean and open to our party. Can put tables outside if weather is nice. Bar is small but very inexpensive.
Music: Warren recommended a group Touché. Tammy has been in talks with Charlie DeCosa.

NEW BIDNESS:

Club Store: Tammy and Chuck working on a club store to raise funds for activities. Investigating taxes other issues.

Beaches A1A Beach Bash
July 15-17. Lisa asked for a motion for the club to pay up to $200 to pay for up to 4 teams to participate in tournament. A motion to fund up to 4 teams at $50 each was made by JT, Bruce Broulik seconded and the motion was passed unanimously. May find T-shirt sponsors which may help defray costs.

Suzanne made a motion for the meeting to adjourn and it was seconded by JT and the meeting adjourned at 8:24pm.
