OFFICER REPORTS:

SECRETARY’S REPORT:

Minutes for last meeting recorded by Joan Williams.

Motion to accept report made by Kari Sheets and seconded by John Williams.  Motion passed unanimously.

TREASURER’S REPORT:

Treasury report submitted by Amy Buchanan.

The treasury funds are getting low.  We have $2,000 in checking and it is only July.  Only way to increase funds is to increase 50/50.

Track Shack pays volunteers $10 each at many events.  This was discussed as a possibility to increase funds.

Motion to accept report made by John Williams, seconded by Terry Clark.  Motion passed unanimously.

MEMBERSHIP OFFICER REPORT:

Jackie Dorsey submitted the membership report by email.  Jackie’s report stated that there were 68 members at the July Phlocking and 5 members were inducted.  Brad Jewell was the $5 raffle winner.

Motion to accept report made by Amy Walker and seconded by Kari Sheets.  Motion passed unanimously.

KEEPER OF THE PHLOCK REPORT:

Megan announced that the August Phlocking will be held Friday, August 4, 2017.  The theme for the Phlocking will be Back to School, the musician will be Jason Webb, the Lucky Stars benefactor and the raffle table sponsor is A Gift for Teaching by Jeanette Anderson.

Megan already walks around the room selling 50/50 tickets.  It was decided to increase the number of prizes to three to see if that helps increase sales.

Motion to accept report made by Amy Buchanan, seconded by John Williams.  Motion passed unanimously.

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER REPORT:

Amy Tatum Huttunen has updated the website.  The event pictures on the website are from years ago.  Terry Clark said he will start collecting pictures from the chair parrots so new pictures can be added.  George Schott will assist.

Motion to accept report made by Amy Buchanan, seconded by Terry Clark.  Motion passed unanimously.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

45 people rsvp’d to the picnic.  Terry will hold a free kayak rental raffle at the Phlocking to encourage participation.  Joe DiLuzio will collect the 50/50 at the picnic.

EXECUTIVE OFFICER’S REPORT:

Amy Walker read some of the Track Shack events the Phlock can volunteer at to raise money.  The first one is a 5k at Orlando Cultural Park on August 19 from 5:30-9:30.  Amy will check our calendar to see which dates we could volunteer at.

MEMBER ADVOCATE REPORT:

No report.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

Jeanette submitted first half interim report on time.  $202 was raised at the Alex and Ani party.  This brings the FITA total to $51,000.  We have raised $58,748 so far this year for our various charities.

Motion to accept report made by Megan Oberlin, seconded by Amy Walker.  Motion passed unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS:

Details of the Saturday night event of the Leadership Conference are still being worked out.

A discussion was continued as to increasing participation in volunteer activities.  Amy Buchanan is working on restructuring the point system.  Terry Clark is working on an incentive system.  Megan Oberlin will send out a survey to see why people don’t attend events.  Questions asked will include:  What is your favorite event and why?
