Council of Pheathers Meeting

IN ATTENDANCE:
President Lisa Schott, Secretary Laurie Ramsteck, Treasurer Colene Clark, Membership Occifer Mary Libbey, Keeper of the Phlock Tammy Esser, Executive Occifer Joe DiLuzio, Membership Advocates Norbert Comacho and Jackie Dorsey, George Schott, Bruce Broulik, Jim Thomas, Amy Buchanan

CALL TO ORDER:
Lisa Schott called the meeting to order at 7:04pm.

SECRETARY’S REPORT:
Laurie Ramsteck reported that the minutes from November were sent out, reviewed and posted to the website. Also, the bank statements were reviewed and approved. Colene Clark made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Mary Libbey and the motion was accepted unanimously.

TREASURER’S REPORT:
Colene Clark reported that we have $11.216.28 in our overall account. Laurie Ramsteck made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Jim Thomas and the motion was passed unanimously.

MEMBERSHIP OCCIFER’S REPORT:
Mary Libbey reported that there were no changes in our membership numbers since last report. Council discussed our Complimentary and Honorary members. Council will add Chris Ball from the AMF Altamonte Bowling Lane as a comp. membership. Jim Thomas made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Joe DiLuzio and the motion was passed unanimously.

KEEPER OF THE PHLOCK REPORT:
Tammy Esser reported that she is working on the music schedule, Lucky Stars and Raffle table for 2011. We received a thank you letter from the Sacred Heart for our donation. Colene Clark made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Laurie Ramsteck and the motion was passed unanimously.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
No report this month

EXECUTIVE OCCIFER’S REPORT:
Joe DiLuzio will be handing over information to Jackie Dorsey. Laurie Ramsteck made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Mary Libbey and the motion was passed unanimously.

MEMBERSHIP ADVOCATE’S REPORT:
No issues or concerns to report to the club. Joe DiLuzio was appointed as Membership Advocate to replace Jackie Dorsey who will be our Executive Officer. A motion was made to accept the report and it was seconded by Colene Clark and to motion was passed unanimously.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
Lisa Schott reported that the memorial stone for Janet Broulick has been purchased. Council discussed the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. The cost is $4.00 to enter a person or group. Tammy and Lisa to look at the service hour’s spreadsheet to determine if we meet the criteria either for individual or for the Club. Council discussed the past year – what did we do well. Highlights of the year were the Buffett concert tailgate party, FITA, Volleyball, Picnics. Dislikes were landscaping at GKTW.

Mary Libbey has been working on a survey to put out to our members to get their feedback as well. Colene Clark made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Jim Thomas and the motion was passed unanimously.

OLD BIDNESS:

WELCOME AND RECORD NEW OCCIFERS:
Lisa Schott welcomed new board members: Vice President Bruce Broulik, Treasurer Suzanne Templin, Membership Occifer Amy Buchanan, Executive Occifer Jackey Dorsey and our new Communications Occifer Mary Libbey. Lisa also thanked our outgoing Occifers Scott Lance, Colene Clark, Joe DiLuzio and Mary Libbey (leaving Membership and moving to Communications).

FITA UPDATE:
George Schott reported that logistics and donations are going well. We need bowlers. The early bird deadline has been extended to January 3rd. Sponsorships and prizes going well. 4 Rivers Smokehouse will be our caterer and hopefully a major sponsor as well.

NEW BIDNESS:

MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY EXECUTIVE LOCK-UP RECAP:
Tabled for this month

MUSICIANS FOR PHLOCKNGS:
Council discussed the schedule and possible increase in payment for the musicians. No decisions were made at this time. Council will need to determine a budget and if we can afford an increase.

2011 CALENDAR UPDATES:
Council will get the updates electronically for now. Tammy will receive the updates.

January Phlocking has been moved from January 14th to January 7th due to a conflict with McWells.

Colene Clark made a motion to adjourn and it was seconded by Joe DiLuzio and the motion passed unanimously.
