OCCIFERS REPORTS:

 

SECRETARY’S REPORT:

Minutes for last meeting submitted via email. Bank accounts were reviewed.

Jim Thomas made a motion to add Lisa Schott as a signer on the new FITA bank account. It was seconded by Suzanne Templin and passed unanimously. (this matter was also in last month’s minutes)

A motion to accept the report was made by Amy Clark and seconded by Suzanne. The motion passed unanimously.

 

TREASURERS REPORT

Suzanne Templin’s submitted her report. Suzanne also reported the raffle table from the last Phlocking totaled $398 which was rounded up to $450 and donated to Gina Smail to help with expenses after the untimely passing of her husband.

Jim Thomas made the motion to accept the report and Jeanette Freeman seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously.

 

MEMBERSHIP OCCIFER’S REPORT:

Amy reports 80 people were at the last phlocking. There were five new members inducted. She states she has gotten a number of applications in the meantime. Amy stated she will be sending out renewal notices soon .Jim Thomas asked about looking into getting PHCF lanyards in the future, Amy agreed to check. A motion to accept the report was made by Shawn Goos and it was seconded by Jim Thomas and the motion was approved unanimously.

 

KEEPER OF THE PHLOCK REPORT:

Jeanette Freeman announced the next PHlocking would be Sept 5th at Friendly Confines with our own Captain Josh playing. After some discussion, the group decided on a theme of “Trying to reason with hurricane season”. Jim Thomas agreed to collect non-perishables for second harvest. The raffle table will be run by Jackie and Jeanette for Jimmy Buffett’s favorite Charity Save the Manatee (This was subsequently changed to donate to Steve Whites Daughter Eryn after his untimely death).

A motion was made by Shawn Goos to accept the report it was seconded by Jackie Dorsey. Motion was passed unanimously.

 

COMMUNICATIONS OCCIFER’S REPORT:

Shawn stated he will post the minutes quickly so Suzanne, Pam and Lisa can go to bank and open FITA account.

A motion was made by Amy to accept the report it was seconded by Jeanette. Motion was passed unanimously

 

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

Bruce not present

 

EXECUTIVE OCCIFER’S REPORT:

Norbert Camacho has come into possession of a box of old PHCF photos. He thinks it would be fun to post them to the Facebook page for “throw back Thursday”.

A motion to accept the report was made by Amy and seconded by Jeanette then passed unanimously.

 

MEMBER ADVOCATE’S REPORT:

Joe Diluzio nothing to report

Terry nothing to report

 

OLD BIDNESS:

  1. Xmas Party:
  • Pam will ask our lawyer about which is better, BYOB or club provided adult beverages.
  1. Excess cash in PHCF account
  • Pam plans to continue to monitor excess monies.

NEW BIDNESS:

  1. Beach Clean up
  • Cocoa Beach Boys sent thank you letter for cleaning the beach
  1. Fall Picnic
  • Will be at Rock Springs in Apopka on October 12th

 

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

Pam spoke about highlights of the leadership conference:

Pam asked Jim to check bylaws about the clubs responsibility of member’s actions

Bit of Paradise had pop up signs that Pam wants to look into.

Pam wants to ask back former members (Jim Schlegel can help)

A motion to adjourn made by Suzanne and it was seconded by Shawn. The motion was approved unanimously.
