Council of Pheathers Meeting

IN ATTENDANCE:
President Lisa Schott, Secretary Laurie Ramsteck, Membership Occifer Mary Libbey, Treasurer Colene Clark, Keeper of the Phlock Tammy Esser, Executive Officer Joe DiLuzio, Member Advocate Jackie Dorsey, Jeff Dubey, Jim Thomas, Chuck Esser, George Schott

CALL TO ORDER:
Lisa Schott called the meeting to order at 7:00pm.

SECRETARY’S REPORT:
Laurie Ramsteck reported that July’s minutes were reviewed and posted to the website. Also, Laurie reviewed the bank statements and approved them. Mary Libbey made a motion to approve the report and it was seconded by Jeff Dubey and the motion was passed unanimously.

TREASURER’S REPORT:
Colene Clark reported that we have $5,620.39 in our overall account (this amount is $50 less than the report distributed because of the band payment). $1500 of this amount is for the Mud Volleyball tournament. Colene will purchase a new copy of Quicken. Laurie Ramsteck made a motion to approve the report and it was seconded by Joe DiLuzio and the motion was passed unanimously.

MEMBERSHIP OCCIFER’S REPORT:
Mary Libbey reported that we have 394 members which are 8 more than last report. We are up almost 35% YTD in members and 40% in memberships. The Essers will order more of our Club business cards. Colene Clark made a motion to approve the report and it was seconded by Jeff Dubey and the motion was passed unanimously.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
No report or update this month

EXECUTIVE OFFICER’S REPORT:
Joe DiLuzio reported that he has located many of the club assets. Thank you to everyone who responded to Joe. Jim Thomas made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Colene Clark and the motion was passed unanimously.

KEEPER OF THE PHLOCK REPORT:
Tammy Esser has taken over the Keeper responsibilities. Thank you Tammy!! Tammy has started updating the Parrot Points spreadsheet. Also, Tammy would like to start enforcing the policy of wearing our hangie thingies to the Phlockings. Those who do not wear theirs will be asked to donate $1. Colene Clark made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Mary Libbey and the motion was passed unanimously.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
Lisa Schott presented an opportunity for the club to participate in the Make A Wish Walk on March 24th. We will check with Relay for Life chairs Lou and Pat Perkins on the date for their event first. Our annual general meeting will be on October 10th at Moss Park. Our reunion Phlocking will be in November. We will be contacting some of our past members to invite them to this event. Jim Thomas made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Laurie Ramsteck and the motion was passed unanimously.

OLD BIDNESS:

MUD VOLLEYBALL UPDATE:
Jeff Dubey reported that everything should be all set for the event on Saturday, August 21st. At least 55 people from our Club will be there either as a volunteer or player. We will set up a membership table. There is a Captains meeting on Thursday at Dubsdread if anyone wants to attend.

BONDING INSURANCE:
Lisa Schott reported that we will go ahead and purchase the 3 year policy for the Club at a cost of $330. Colene Clark has written the check.

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER:
Mary Libbey presented an amendment to our bylaws to add the position of Communications Officer. Council will review the proposed amendment and will discuss at the September Council meeting. A vote will be done at our General Meeting.

NEW BIDNESS:

SEPTEMBER PHLOCKING:
The raffle monies for September will go to the General PHund. The Lucky Stars will be a clothing drive for the Orlando Rescue Mission. Ed and Jayne Langston are taking care of the clothing delivery.

PHIP ELECTIONS:
Lisa Schott presented the election ballot to the Council. Council to discuss further and then vote.

MOTM RAFFLE BASKET:
Council decided not to donate a basket to MOTM. We will collect donations for our own Club party during MOTM. The party is Thursday, November 4th.

A motion to adjourn was made by Mary Libbey and was seconded by Colene Clark and the meeting adjourned at 8:20pm.
