SECRETARY’S REPORT:
Minutes submitted to web site after editing. Bank accounts reviewed. A motion to accept the report was made by Jeanette Freeman and it was seconded by Shawn Goos and the motion was approved unanimously.

TREASURERS REPORT

Suzanne Templin submitted corrected copy of last month’s budget. She also submitted an up to date annual budget. Suzanne asked the council what we should do with the proposed monies that were to be spent on the poker tournament. A discussion ensued. Suzanne made a motion to donate $400 (about what would have been spent on poker) directly to the Russell Home. The proposal was seconded by Jim Thomas and passed unanimously. A motion to accept the report was made by Jackie Dorsey and it was seconded by Bruce Broulik and the motion was approved unanimously.

MEMBERSHIP OCCIFER’S REPORT:
Amy Buchanan reports 68 people were at the last PHlocking and 5 new members were initiated bringing the membership total to 317 members. A motion to accept the report was made by Jackie and it was seconded by Jeanette and the motion was approved unanimously.

KEEPER OF THE PHLOCK REPORT:

Jeanette reports that instead of Captain Josh for May’s PHlocking Jimi Pappas will be playing (everybody get a drink….) Marti Hahn and Dee Hill will be running the raffle table with proceeds to benefit the cystic fibrosis foundation. Lucky Stars will be expectant mother and baby items for the Beta House. The council discussed putting a collection jar out for people to donate cash directly to the Lucky Stars recipient each month. Jeanette reports she has a bucket to do this and will bring it to the May PHlocking. A motion was made to accept the report by Shawn seconded by Jim Thomas. Motion was passed unanimously.

COMMUNICATIONS OCCIFER’S REPORT:
Shawn questioned moving July 5th PHlocking but it was decided that there were no good alternatives. Shawn also stated he is keeping the Facebook page up to date and has sent out invites for most of the upcoming events on the calendar. He asked if the council wanted to continue to email musician calendars council believes Facebook page actually a better media and agreed to encourage musicians to utilize our page with Shawn’s discretion.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
Bruce Broulik reported that 23 people came to Give Kids the World pool party. It was a success as usual. A motion to accept the report was made by Jim Thomas and it was seconded by Jeanette, the motion was approved unanimously.

EXECUTIVE OCCIFER’S REPORT:
Not present.

MEMBER ADVOCATE’S REPORT:
No new complaints at this time

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

1. This month is PHCF’s 21st birthday. Discussed celebrating at the next PHlocking since club is now of legal drinking age. Jim Thomas made a motion to celebrate 21st birthday by having a party. Council discussed buying commemorative shot glasses and having McWells make a special shot to celebrate. Jeanette agreed to get a cake as well. The motion was seconded by Bruce and passed unanimously.
2. Lisa requested Shawn update the year to date totals on the website for volunteer hours and donations. She will provide up to date numbers. Shawn noted 2011 was not on website and Lisa stated she will send that information as well.
3. Treasurer’s report shows excessive funds. A discussion about how to fairly donate occurred. This will remain “on the table” for future meeting.
4. Lisa discussed the Poker tournament. She states at this time Paul and Gail would like to have it next year.
A motion to pass the president’s report was made by Jim Thomas, seconded by Shawn and passed unanimously

OLD BIDNESS:
Sound levels at the PHlocking: Suzanne and Terry report positive feedback. We will make the same rearrangements at May’s PHlocking.

NEW BIDNESS:
Lisa asked about placing an ad again this year in the MOTM pamphlet. Jackie made a motion to place an ad again this year, Jeanette seconded the motion. It was passed with 2 members abstaining from the vote.
Lisa mentioned that the PHIP leadership conference will be held in August this year in Jacksonville. It is open to all members but she is encouraging some of the council members to attend. Several expressed interested (me).

Jackie made a motion to sponsor a kickball team at the Suwanee. It was seconded by Jeanette and passed unanimously.

A motion to adjourn made by Amy and it was seconded by Jim Thomas the motion was approved unanimously.
