Council of Pheathers Meeting

IN ATTENDANCE:
President Lisa Schott, Vice President Bruce Broulik, Secretary Laurie Ramsteck, Treasurer Suzanne Templin, Membership Occifer Amy Buchanan, Executive Occifer Jackey Dorsey, Member Advocates Joe DiLuzio and Paul Fraas, Past President Jim Thomas, George Schott, Josh Ramsteck, Terry Clark

CALL TO ORDER:
President Lisa Schott called the meeting to order at 7:10pm.

MCWELL’S UPDATE:
Lisa Schott reported that there was some damage done to McWell’s but thought that everything would be fine by the time of our May Phlocking.

SECRETARY’S REPORT:
Laurie Ramsteck reported that March’s minutes were not yet done but will be along with April’s minutes.   Our club bank accounts were reviewed and approved. Amy Buchanan made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Suzanne Templin and the motion was passed unanimously.

TREASURER’S REPORT:
Suzanne Templin reported that we have $4,188.64 in our overall account. Laurie Ramsteck made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Jim Thomas and the motion was passed unanimously.

MEMBERSHIP OCCIFER’S REPORT:
Amy Buchanan reported that we have 2 new members since last report. Our March Phlocking attendance was low. Amy is still looking for new ways to attract members to our meeting. Jim Thomas made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Bruce Broulik and the motion was passed unanimously.

KEEPER OF THE PHLOCK REPORT:
Tammy Esser was absent but e-mailed her report prior to our meeting. Captain Josh will be our entertainment for May. Our Lucky Stars will be collecting baby items and the proceeds of our raffle will go to the club.

COMMUNICATIONS OCCIFER’S REPORT:
No report this month.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
Bruce Broulik reported that he only had a few volunteers for the Give Kids the World event on March 1st. A second e-mail will be sent out to the club. Mary Libbey will do the initiation at the May Phlocking. Jackey Dorsey made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Amy Buchanan and the motion was passed unanimously.

EXECUTIVE OCCIFER’S REPORT:
No issues to report this month

MEMBER ADVOCATES REPORT:
No issues to report this month

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
Lisa Schott reported that we will contact McWell’s on April 30th to check on the status of the restaurant. Council discussed having a volunteer coordinator to collect and deliver gift baskets that we donate to other club events. Lisa will be in charge of the Ft. Lauderdale Water Taxi and the Volleyball Tournament baskets, Mary will do the Nebraska club basket and Laurie will do the MOTM Club Party basket.

Lisa will also work on the PayPal button on our website. Also discussed adding GKTW, volleyball practices to our club colander. Mary to update. Amy Buchanan made a motion to accept the report and it was seconded by Jim Thomas and the motion was passed unanimously.

OLD BIDNESS:

GKTW POOL PARTY UPDATE:
Already discussed in the Vice President’s report.

DONATIONS TO OTHER CLUBS:
Already discussed in the President’s report.

POKER TOURNAMENT UPDATE:
Paul Fraas requested that the Club sponsor a table for $100. They will raffle off a free ticket to the tournament also. The event is June 3rd starting at 6:30pm at McWell’s. Paul will send out an e-mail to the Club.

NEW BIDNESS:

MAY PHLOCKING LOCATION:
Already discussed in the President’s report.

CHRISTMAS PARTY:
Warren and Pat Monyelle will chair the event but looking for volunteers to assist. The event will be at the VFW.

Back to Nature community service event is this Saturday.

Suzanne Templin made a motion for the meeting to adjourn and it was seconded by Bruce Broulik and the meeting adjourned at 7:55pm.
